After 4 years touring Australia and Overseas with his musical appointments,
‘Piano Man’ Paul Kenny returns to the Sunshine Coast. Pauls extensive career
spans over 25 years with musical accolades and degrees include Bachelor
of Arts (Music), Associate of Music, Licentiate in Composition, Bachelor of
Science in Business Administration and Doctor of Philosophy in Music
Education. Paul is also a Fellowship Member of the Academy of St. Cecilia
London and a Fellowship Member of the Cambridge Society of Musicians,
as well as a Professional Member of the Australian Society of Music Educators.
Paul has been a music teacher for over
25 years with many of his students going on to be
professional musicians or continuing studies at a University or Conservatorium of Music.
Paul has been employed as the National Manager of an
Australian Piano Import Company, which has involved
sales and marketing for over 120 retail stores across Australia, performing and giving public lectures on pianos, music and
marketing and also working closely with Samick Musical Instruments in Korea,
Indonesia and USA. Paul also writes articles for several music publications
including ‘The Australian Music Teacher Magazine’ on topics such as
‘Buying a Piano’, ‘Music Education’, ‘Marketing” and ‘Advanced Learning’.
Paul began his musical career here on the
Sunshine Coast where his family have been living for literally generations. Pauls
Great-Great Grandfather, George Bury, was an original pioneer of the area
developing the sugar cane industry. While studying under several teachers, Paul
began performing in venues across the coast and Brisbane. He has been involved
with many local artists performing in various bands, jazz bands and solo and
duo work for functions, weddings and events.
